Subtle yet expressive, scale-defying without being showy, one-of-a kind - these are all things that have been used to describe Daley's impressive voice and music. Daley's delicate vocal was first showcased on his self-released mixtape, 'Those Who Wait,' a release that has had over 150,000 downloads and was critically acclaimed by The Guardian, The Sunday Times and the NME. His collaboration, 'Alone Together' with the Grammy Award winning Marsha Ambrosius, saw Universal Republic sign Daley on the spot to a US deal and the record subsequently went on to become a top 5 hit on the US Urban AC chart. Pharrell is another fan; the NERD frontman heard about Daley on a Friday and requested his presence in the studio the following Monday. Damon Albarn enlisted Daley for the Gorillaz 'Plastic Beach' album, and Daley now features on Nelly's brand new US single 'Heaven'. With a growing legion of fans, famous and otherwise, Daley releases his new single 'Broken' on September 29th, featuring production from Bernard Butler of Suede and now racing up the Radio 1 playlist, it will be followed by his incredible debut album that looks set for commercial success when released at the beginning of next year.
