Glenn Hughes Tickets
Sorry there are no shows for Glenn Hughes right now.
Rated 5 out of 5 by rocklily from an emotional night for all as i'm sure everyone knows Glenn's mum died the day before this gig and he also seemed to have a cold. however he delivered an exceptional performance under the circumstances. his voice is as good, maybe better, than in years gone by and the diversity of his back catalogue provides an interesting range of songs. on this tour he has added keyboards to the band and this made the deep purple choices even better. he spoke to us several times, very emotionally, telling us to love each other, especially our mums, but this never sounded schmaltzy or false just very genuine concern. my only little gripes, glenn does not give enough credit to his band, a very talented bunch of musicians, all danish on this tour, a brief name-check at the end not being a fair reward for their excellent work, and 2nd little gripe, other musicians throw guitar picks, etc from the stage, glenn sells them. but i had an excellent time, on my own again, but the fleece is a very friendly place, wish it had some chairs though. must mention support band Stone Broken who i've seen before and really like, one for the future of rock, i wish them lots of luck

Rated 3 out of 5 by Father Brown from Excellent Music - too much talk Great venue (2nd time there in a week - both gigs, LvPO and Glenn Hughes were fantastic) Only criticism would be that Glenn spent too much time talking, often repeating himself and frequently talking for over 5 mins between numbers. Music was excellent but it felt a bit like an after dinner event. Maybe I haven't yet come to terms with the fact that the average age/gender distribution was me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Will from The Maestro at work Glenn performed again out of his skin to a very attentive and enthusiastic audience. A varied set of tracks with several outstanding moments such as You Keep On Movin', Burn, Gettin' Tighter. The support band Stone Broken were enjoyable setting the mood for th night. This band could go really far. The only disappointing part was their forthcoming single which is a song that varies too much from their normal style.
