Rated 4 out of 5 by Slash fan from Second only to the real thing My friend and I are huge Guns N Roses fans, and compared to the real thing, this band were incredible - the atmosphere each band member created in their behaviour was hugely accurate of the real people, and their performance was incredible. Unfortunately (not sure why, might not have had anything to do with Guns 2 Roses themselves,) the event started an hour and fifteen minutes late, so we only saw the support act, three guitar pieces written by the lead guitarist, and three songs by the actual tribute band. This was hugely disappointing because they were an excellent band, but the train we were catching was the last one that night - so we really had to go. If they'd started on time, we could've quite comfortably seen the whole set, which I'm sure was brilliant. Nevertheless, what we saw was amazing, and the lead guitarist stood out to me particularly as a huge fan of Slash; he looked almost identical to the legend from the 90's, and his guitar playing in the songs the band played and his own compositions were amazing. Similarly, the Axl Rose figure was brilliant in the same notorious behaviour, and the bassist was hugely reminiscient of Duff McKagan. And we were second from the front, so we could see everything so clearly! Just so badly wished they'd started on time, or we had a lift/ taxi, so we could've seen the whole thing! We've agreed that we're gonna try and get lifts or taxis from concerts now, so we don't miss anything next time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by dal007 from Disappointing I saw this band a few years back and they were excellent....the music was great, the singer looked like Axl and even had the "pre-madonna costumes" changes every other song too! Very authentic and believable. When I actually got to go and see them again this year I dragged a few friends along to share the experience.......this time it was no so good. Overall you could tell what the songs were and it was easy to guess who the band were supposed to look like. Axl seemed to sing the lyrics faster in the same space of the music so the sentence seemed shorter and consequently the lyrics didn't fit the spaces in the songs. This happened on every song as wasn't just a one-off. The drumming, bass and rhythm guitar were fine so unfortunately it was really Slash and Axl that let the side down in my opinion. Apart from smiling too much, "Slash" had most of the guitar work down to a tee but some of the more important notes were absent...shame really as he was excellent at the rest. In a couple of songs the guitar went off on a tangent as if "Slash" broke into some free-form jazz???Most bizarre as that was never in any of the songs and he didn't seem to notice he was out of key with the band either??? Overall...a very disappointing performance from a band that has been doing this for many years. Maybe they have had a line-up change or something? My friends I brought along with me were not impressed and do not want to see the band again. I would see the band again just to make sure they were just having an "off" night to restore their reputation. Sorry it couldn't be a better review guys.
