Rated 3 out of 5 by TON 69 from Guns 2 Roses tribute The music was really good but with a tribute band like that, me & friends thought that they should of been on for longer

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wozzaaahhhh from My Guns 2 Roses experience at SUB89 Went to see some old classics played by a highly reputable covers band and they didn't disappoint. Great value for money act, playing in a small club venue, I appreciated the way they mimicked the original members in appearance and performance. Two AC/DC covers were a bit unnecessary and could've just stuck to G n' R covers but Appetite for Destruction played in full, in album order. A bit disappointed that curfew was at 9.30 on a Friday night (!?!) as they and the audience wanted to play for longer. However that wasn't the band's fault and I thoroughly recommend to old and new fans of G n'R alike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Slashfan from Great band, disappointed in venue I went to this event, guns 2 roses were absolutely fantastic!!! Sadly the venue only allowed them a one and a half hour time slot and there were only two bar staff on!! I felt we only had half a night out. If it wasn't for the fact that guns 2 rises were so awesome I would have been even more disappointed!

Rated 2 out of 5 by dal007 from Disappointing I saw this band a few years back and they were excellent....the music was great, the singer looked like Axl and even had the "pre-madonna costumes" changes every other song too! Very authentic and believable. When I actually got to go and see them again this year I dragged a few friends along to share the experience.......this time it was no so good. Overall you could tell what the songs were and it was easy to guess who the band were supposed to look like. Axl seemed to sing the lyrics faster in the same space of the music so the sentence seemed shorter and consequently the lyrics didn't fit the spaces in the songs. This happened on every song as wasn't just a one-off. The drumming, bass and rhythm guitar were fine so unfortunately it was really Slash and Axl that let the side down in my opinion. Apart from smiling too much, "Slash" had most of the guitar work down to a tee but some of the more important notes were absent...shame really as he was excellent at the rest. In a couple of songs the guitar went off on a tangent as if "Slash" broke into some free-form jazz???Most bizarre as that was never in any of the songs and he didn't seem to notice he was out of key with the band either??? Overall...a very disappointing performance from a band that has been doing this for many years. Maybe they have had a line-up change or something? My friends I brought along with me were not impressed and do not want to see the band again. I would see the band again just to make sure they were just having an "off" night to restore their reputation. Sorry it couldn't be a better review guys.
