Rated 4 out of 5 by Mad Dog from Another great James concert A great evening out starting with a well selected support band "The Slow Readers Club" . James as usual reproduced their sound so well and the energy levels from Tim Booth were exceptional. The name of the tour denoted that it was all about the new album but I got the distinct feeling that a lot of the crowd didn't know the new stuff which meant the atmosphere was not as good as it could have been and a lot of the older songs were reworked, very well I might add, which may not have gone down as well with some. The only reason I didn't rate as excellent is that they didn't play my favourite song and it was not as good as their Royal Albert Hall gig a couple of years ago which frankly will never be beaten.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jen24 from Awesome James gig in Birmingham Possibly the 'happiest' gig I have ever been to, so so much fun. Awesome music, flawless vocals, crazy dancing and actual crowd surfing

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stebat1968 from James. Wednesday and Friday at the forum I have seen Them about 30 times. My 4 friends who I always go with let me down, apparently going to Hong Kong on a freebie is better! So I gave the tickets to my 21 and 18 year old sons and two of their mates by saying you know the band who do " sit down". now they don't know their backside or laid from their elbow or the morning after the night before. They all thought it was one of the best gigs, and they go every other week and to festivals, they have ever seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Just70 from Amazing as always never disappoint. I went to the event with my friend we have seen James live on loads of occasions over the last twenty five plus years and they are as fantastic then as they were in the beginning. Jumping from the stage and walking through the crowd caused an electronic atmosphere as did the fans singalong to sit down. The set list was a mix of old and new and they even did an impromptu second encore which made the night extra special. We had the best time as always. Loved it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dadatdisco from It's been too long - but worth the wait I saw James way back in the 1980s and it left a lasting impression. Last night they did not disappoint. One of the best concerts I have been to. It all started with The Slow Readers Club warm up that was one of the best supports I have seen. Confident and talented they set the night off perfectly. It will be following them from now on. The excitement and expectation built as James came on stage. A quiet and reserved start with a nod to the last time they performed in Hull. Then true class and showmanship kicked in. Everyone was smiling and it was the best atmosphere I have experienced at Hull City Hall. Just two songs would have completed the set but I really enjoyed the evening even though Laid and Sit Down were missing. I really respect the fact that James wanted to play new material and they did not compromise. Well worth the wait...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Huddsy from James in Llandudno Arrived at the venue And after bring entertained by the support act ( slow readers club) we waited for James to come on stage I found their lack of older hits to be detrimental to my entertainment as did many many others Therefore I rate this as a poor gig to have attended (This is a very consise version as my previous more in depth( and tbh kinder )review was moderated and rejected ! An honest review but not allowed
