Rated 5 out of 5 by road runner from a great evening at the union chapel First visit to union chapel but not first time I had seen Nerina Pallot on stage . Previous concert was the London Scala . First saw her performing Idaho on the Piano on Channel four`s Abbey road sessions then went out and got " Fires " was pleasantly surprised to discover the venue had a bar so after 1 Camden pale ale watched the support Samuel Taylor and Rebecca Van Cleve and then Nerina`s 90 minutes of music and chat in between numbers . The talking which I have no problem with , gave an me insight into how she came up with a song , and at times I found her comments amusing ,her reference about "star signs " as I belong to an Astronomy group , and also when Bernard Butler came on stage and told her that Stoke were losing 4-0 to Tottenham , I know that she is an Arsenal supporter and heard the comment " i am a depressed Arsenal fan" i have a season ticket at Leyton Orient and the last two years have not been good . I had a very good position the chapel right at the back with a clear view of the drums , at end of the concert went to sales desk but have already got the albums , had a very brief chat with Rebecca Van Cleve then upstairs to the bar for one more Camden pale ale , saw Nerina come into the bar and very tempted to have a quick chat with her about "star signs" and football but she was busy talking to friends , so perhaps another time , hopefully not on a thursday when my astronomy group meets. I hope she keeps writing and performing , and next time i`ll get some friends to come along , as i think they are missing out . .
