South West Four returns to London's scenic Clapham Common this August, firmly established as one of the UK's most important and influential electronic music festivals. After recently being awarded DJ Magazine's coveted 'Best British Festival' at the Best of British Awards, this year's offering will close what will be a truly monumental summer for the Capital.

For the first time in our nine year history, the Clapham carnage will cease at 10pm. That's an extra hour to indulge in the scintillating sights and sounds of the UK's premier inner city music event. So with an extra sixty minutes to play with, this year's line-up will be our biggest ever, showcasing an array of prime international artists on a scale never before experienced at SW4. Inspirational talent synonymous with South West Four's success, are joined by a host of DJ debuts and manic live acts. Furthermore with improved sound levels, a freeze on 2011 ticket prices and numerous other enhancements, SW4 2012 will bring to the English summer an even greater festival experience.

For Saturday's coveted headline slot we're privileged to welcome the world's most exciting live electronic act, the enigmatic Chase & Status in their biggest ever headline London show. For this emotional homecoming, expect an intense immersive ethos incorporating raging riffs and high octane breakdowns. This frenetic formula earned their acclaimed album 'No More Idols' double platinum status and a 'Best British Group' nomination at The Brit Awards 2012.

Their baffling, on-the-fly manipulation of dirty, ferocious beats, has also attracted a devoted global fan base, who live and breathe that tumultuous bass driven sound. It's no wonder, Mixmag nominated Chase & Status for their 'Greatest Dance Act Of All Time.' But let's cut to the chase! With a status as one of the most innovative producers of their generation, this homecoming is preceded by a host of monumental global gigs.

Before shaking Clapham to the core, Chase & Status will headline Miami's 'Ultra Music Festival' and Australia's flagship 'Future Music Festival.' The ten thousand mile distance symbolic of their present standing. Iconic postcode SW4 falls nicely in the centre, a subliminal message maybe as this will be the focal point for Chase & Status' shining summer activities. Age Restrictions

- 10 Year olds and under enter free accompanied by a ticket holding adult (18 years and over)

- 11 to 15 Year olds and under pay full price but must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult (18 years and over)

- 16 and 17 Year olds pay full price and do not need to be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. It is advisable to have ID with you.

- Please note no more than two children aged 15 and under can be accompanied by one ticket holding adult.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

There is a zero tolerance to drugs at SW4. Offenders will be handed over to the police and drug dealers will be prosecuted. Those caught in possession of personal drugs will be evicted from site whatever the circumstances.

There will be drug searches at the front entrance as well as sniffer dog patrolling the queues.

No alcohol or food is allowed to be taken into the event by visitors.

BUYING TICKETS OFF TOUTS

As everyone is aware, all festivals are plagued by touts every year.

Do not buy tickets from anything other than a bona fide ticket agency or seller. If you do otherwise, you run the risk of having bought either a forgery or a stolen ticket.

Since 2008, we have installed a state of the art ticket scanning system. This resulted in nigh on 1000 forgeries being discovered at the entry gate to the event that year. Encouragingly considerably less were evident from 2009 onwards

These people were not allowed in and some got quite upset about it. At the end of the day, the only people that gain from this are the touts. Whatever your excuse, you will not gain access to the event with a forgery. Please also be aware, that as tickets are all bar coded, stolen tickets can now be cancelled and again if your ticket is identified as having been stolen you will not gain access.

So once again, we strongly advise that you only buy tickets from established agencies or genuine ticket sellers. If in doubt, contact the organisers on enquiries@locknloadevents.com

If you do get refused entry to the event as your ticket is a forgery or stolen, please do not come crying to the organisers. You are an adult and as such should know better than to take this risk by buying a ticket from anyone that cannot prove to you that they genuinely represent this festival.

Possession of a ticket shall constitute acceptance of the following conditions.
Ticket/s may not be exchanged or money refunded.
Tickets are non refundable except in the instance of the event being cancelled.

Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of Clapham Common and Lambeth Council.

The event promoter reserves the right to refuse entry of the ticket holder to the event site and to eject the ticket holder at its absolute discretion.

It is the licensing condition that every person entering the site has a valid ticket or pass.

Admission is at the ticket holder's own risk. However this does not exclude any liability of the promoter for death or personal injury arising out of its negligence.

There will be no re-admission. Please bring everything you need with you.

The management reserves the right to make any change whatsoever to the artist programming owing to any unforeseen or unavoidable cause.

No professional cameras, video recorders or any form of audio equipment allowed on event site.

The ticket and pass holder consents to the filming and sound recording of members of the audience.

Lost tickets will not be replaced. Keep your ticket safe.

If the ticket is re-sold or transferred by anyone but the promoter or their authorised agents, it may become voidable and the holder may be refused entry or ejected from the event site.

No illegal substances are allowed into the event site.

No animals will be allowed into the event site except guide dogs for the blind.
INFORMATION FOR DISABLED VISITORS

The festival is fully accessible to wheelchair users. Please note though that being situated on a green field site it is basically parkland and maneuverability is limited as such. The ground is notoriously hard but, of course, dependent on weather conditions.

Each of the main toilet blocks in the festival includes disabled toilets, as will the disabled person's viewing platform.

This disabled person's viewing platform is for the Main Stage and will provide a great sight line above the crowd to see the acts on stage.

There will be a fully equipped medics' tent located on site throughout the event.

CLOAKROOM / CASH POINT MACHINES / LOST PROPERTY

Please note that there are no cloakroom facilities at this event. Please only bring with you what you are happy to carry.

However, there are ATM machines onsite. These accept debit and credit cards. Transactions are subject to surcharges

If you lose any of your personal possessions at the event, please contact us directly on enquiries@locknloadevents.com We will then be able to inform you on whether your article has been handed in and how to retrieve it.

SITE EVACUATION

In the unlikely event that the festival site has to be fully evacuated, the event would not continue on that particular day. If the reason for the evacuation falls under the heading of 'force majeure', there would not be any refunds. Adverse weather conditions or an act of terrorism are classified as an act of God.

SOUND LEVELS

Music levels at all events on Clapham are a very sensitive issue.

Lambeth Council set licensing conditions which include music sound levels. These are not the best in the world. The organisers do everything in their power to maximise the situation by employing the best PA companies and noise consultants. Added to the set levels, other influences such as atmospheric conditions and wind conditions can make it extremely difficult to get the high music sound levels that some may expect. Should the levels not be to your liking, we can only apologise and rest assured that we have the best people working on it. However, we are restrained by conditions set on us by the Council.

If you are interested in these issues and live close to Clapham Common, read on. Each year when we apply for our license, a small group of local residents oppose our event on grounds that the sound we create is intrusive. In short, they have been trying to stop our event happening for years now. ADVERSE WEATHER

As we all know, the weather in this great country of ours is unpredictable to say the least. Please therefore keep an eye on the weather forecast for the Clapham Weekender and, should it look like raining, bring suitable apparel to keep dry.. if you so wish. There are tented arenas on the site but these can only accommodate half the audience at a push.

So if rain is likely bring your brolly and put on your wellies! Nothing stops a good party.

FOOD AND DRINK

No chairs, tables, BBQs or other such articles may be brought into the event site.

Alcohol and food are not allowed into the event site. Food, alcohol and drink will be available for purchase within the event.

Soft drinks in glass or cans will not be allowed into the event site.

You may however bring in soft drinks in plastic or paper containers under 500ml for personal consumption.
