What people are saying about Villagers
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hibbs from Beautiful songs, haunting voice Have loved this band since I saw them supporting Elbow in early 2011. Suited to intimate spaces so Gorilla works well, and they delivered a good mix of old and new, opening with the stunning Memoir and running through all four studio albums. The older tracks get the biggest cheers, the melancholy of Becoming A Jackal obviously resonated with a lot of people, including me. My only gripe is nothing to do with the band, it just annoys me when people feel the need to hold a conversation during the gig, please just go somewhere else if you want to chat and leave the fans to enjoy the music.
