Tickets for events at New London, London

Although the New London is a modern building there has entertainment on the site since Elizabethan times. The first production in the current building was a television recording of Marlene Dietrich's one-woman show and the first full production was The Unknown Soldier and his Wife in 1973, written by and starring Peter Ustinov. Subsequent productions include Grease with Richard Gere, Bruce Forsyth's one-man show and Sheila Hancock in Deja Revue. 1981 saw the debut of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats starring Elaine Paige, Brian Blessed, Wayne Sleep, Paul Nicholas, Sarah Brightman and Bonnie Langford. Direction was by Trevor Nunn with choreography by Gillian Lynne. The show ran for 21 years. Umoja, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Blue Man Group and Gone with the Wind have subsequently played at the theatre.

Parking

The nearest car park is in Chinatown. Q-Park offer up to 50% discount on parking (Theatreland Parking Scheme.) Step-free information

Step free access is only available to row N3 of the Stalls via a goods lift inside Stage Door on Parker Mews and open 30 minutes befor the show. Two steps down to each other row. We recommend customers arriving to the theatre half an hour before the performance and introducing themselves at the Box Office in the main foyer where they will be accompanyed by a member of the Front of House.

Wheelchair Access

There are 2 wheelchair spaces in row N1 and N2 of the Stalls with companion seats directly in the row in front. Wheelchair transfer is only available to seat N3 of the Stalls. Wheelchair access is via a goods lift to the first level and then a quick transfer to a second lift. Please note the width of the second lift door is 70 cm (27.5") wide (depth 83cm - 36.2") and will not accommodate many sizes of wheelchair especially most electric wheelchairs or scooters. Most people with wider wheelchairs will need to temporarily transfer to a small house wheelchair to access the auditorium. We strongly advise you to check the measurements of the wheelchair before booking, especially if you are unable to transfer to the house wheelchair. Toilet Facilities There is an accessible toilet in the Stalls for wheelchair users next to row N of the Stalls.

Hearing Systems

The theatre uses the Sennheiser infra-red headset system and 20 headsets are available from the front of house staff in main foyer. These headsets are for people who are hard of hearing but please note there is no induction loop system in the auditorium. 2 necklace type hearing systems are available for people who use a hearing aid. There is an induction loop at the Box Office to assist hearing aid users when booking tickets. For further information regarding hearing systems, please call the theatre stage door on 0207 242 9802.

Guide Dogs

The theatre management are happy to look after your Guide/Hearing dog during the performance. Please approach a member of the front of house team when you arrive at the theatre and they will make the necessary arrangements
