As of 2010[update] she is performing as Frankie Rose and has finished principal recording and mastering of her second full length album, INTERSTELLER, which is set to be released on Slumberland Records in early 2012. As of late 2011 Frankie Rose and the Outs will no longer is known by Frankie Rose and the Outs and has since dropped the Outs and is now writing preforming and distributing her new album simply as Frankie Rose. On January 3rd 2012, PITCHFORK listed her newly released song "KNOW ME" as one of the best new tracks of the new year, stating that:"Frankie Rose has played a key part in bands that embraced big-in-'08 C86 garage pop sound (Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts, Dum Dum Girls), and her 2010 self-titled album with backing band the Outs reflected close knowledge of that specific style. On "Know Me", the first single from her forthcoming solo LP Interstellar, she's looking to the past again-- only, this time, she's drawing from the sweeping romantic shoegaze-y sounds of the 1980's, her voice cloaked in reverb and the guitars wrapped in the same soft gauze that marked missives from bands like the Cure and unsung 4AD heroes Pale Saints. Sometimes, successfully altering your sound only takes a few well-placed tweaks; on "Know Me", Rose makes all the right choices, proving that you can evolve as an artist without leaving the past entirely behind".
