PEARL JAM AND RAMMSTEIN To Headline Bilbao BBK Live 2010

Bilbao BBK Live festival is proud to announce that the first headline acts for its 5th edition, which will take place from 8th-10th July 2010, will be Pearl Jam and Rammstein.

After recently touring North America, Australia and New Zealand, Pearl Jam will be presenting their ninth studio album ‘Backspacer’ to their European fans. ‘Backspacer’, released in September this year, has already reached Number 1 in the US charts. The German dance-metal band Rammstein, who back in October released their latest album 'Liebe ist für alle da', will take their hugely over the top show, which usually includes the use of pyrotechnical devices, to the festival.

Bilbao BBK Live is a three day festival that takes place in the outskirts of Bilbao. With 40,000 capacity and two main stages, the festival’s schedule guarantees that acts won’t overlap, so you won’t miss a thing! Previous editions of the festival have included acts such as Depeche Mode, Jane’s Addiction, RHCP and Primal Scream.

This festival has proven to be a huge success with national and international festival goers who have voted for the 2009 edition to be one of the finalists of the European Festival Awards in the category of ‘Best Medium Festival’. The winner will be announced on the 13th January at the Eurosonic Music Conference in Holland.

The festival site, located on top of a hill and surrounded by mountains, offers breathtaking views over the city of Bilbao. While in the festival, take the opportunity to visit the city, just 10 minutes bus ride from the festival site. Bilbao is a modern city famous for its architecture, museums and gastronomy, and it’s just a stone’s throw away from the coast.

Coinciding with Running of the Bulls and just an hour away from Pamplona, Bilbao BBK Live festival has become a must in the international travelling circuit.

To get there: Two low cost airlines operate direct flights from London to Bilbao. Check Easyjet (from Stansted) and Clickair (from Heathrow). Iberia also operates daily direct flights from Gatwick airport.
Ryanair operates daily flights to Santander, just an hour bus ride to Bilbao.
From Bilbao airport there are regular public buses to central Bilbao. Once in central Bilbao the festival provides shuttle buses to the site.
