MAMMA MIA! Tickets and Dates

Novello Theatre, London

A mother. A Daughter. 3 Possible Dads. And a trip down the aisle you'll never forget!

Björn, Benny and British playwright Catherine Johnson have conspired to create one of the West End's most loved feel-good musicals. Produced by Judy Cramer, this musical thriller brings the hits of ABBA to life. MAMMA MIA! is unashamedly pop. Follow Sophie Sheridan's journey of personal discovery, accompanied by the familiar sounds of Sweden's top pop exports. Embrace the glam and dive into the music. Running since 1999 in the West End, the show follows the journey of Sophie, set on the fictional Greek island of Kalokairi, Sophie embarks on a journey to find her father before she marries Sky. Inviting three likely candidates to the wedding, she assesses their credentials in confidence before confusion, conflicts and, eventually, hilarity ensue. As is often the case in matters of the heart, all's well that ends well. Even though proceedings take an expected twist, the cast celebrate true love in the end by doing what they do best: singing ABBA songs and spreading joy.

Why Everyone Thanks MAMMA MIA! for the Music

There are few pop bands that have such an enduring appealing as ABBA. Since they took Eurovision by storm in 1974 with "Waterloo", the quartet have ridden a wave of international success. MAMMA MIA! has bottled the band's magic and turned it into an uplifting stage experience. With more than £2 billion in gross revenue since its debut in 1999, the show has become a global phenomenon. Perhaps the primary reason so many theatregoers are willing to take a chance on MAMMA MIA! is the music. Yes, the story is a classic Romeo and Juliet-style romcom, but it's the familiar tunes that have brought in the money, money, money. For those that enjoy unpretentious pop music at its finest, MAMMA MIA! is perfect. From the opening note to the big finale, entertainment is guaranteed. Put simply, if you're a fan of ABBA, romance, comedy and toe-tapping music, MAMMA MIA! should be top of your West End agenda.
