Opened in 1986, the Swan Theatre is a favourite space for many actors, directors and audiences. An intimate theatre, it seats approximately 450 people on three sides of a deep thrust stage. Since the Transformation project, the Swan Theatre now shares its front of house space with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, with audiences enjoying the same foyer, Box Office, bars and restaurants. Other improvements from the Transformation include a new over-stage flying capability, new hearing induction loop and re-upholstered seats designed for greater comfort.
Transport
By Train
Nearest British Rail is Stratford-upon-Avon, about 20 mins walk from the town centre. A direct train service runs from London Marylebone and connections from all parts of the UK to Stratford via other rail routes.
By Car
The Swan Theatre is along side the River Avon and is well signposted thoughout Stratford-upon-Avon. M40 from London or the Midlands. The M40 links to the M42 and M25 which gives access to M1, M5, M6, M4
Parking
There are 40 spaces in front of the Theatre with a small charge (but they do fill up quickly). 200 pay and display spaces in Church Street car park, a short walk from the theatre (Open Mon-Fri 18.00hrs- Midnight, Sat and Bank Holidays all day)Street parking is impossible but there are several other car parks throughout the town but all are at least 15 mins away from the theatre so allow plenty of time.

Turning con-man to fool his rich uncle, he variously becomes a lord, a high class call girl, and - God forbid - a poor actor. But a beautiful Soho tart is also on the scam: a whore to some, a religious instructor to others, and a debutante in need of an eligible bachelor to yet more...
Sean Foley makes his RSC debut, directing Thomas Middleton's Jacobean 'city comedy': an outrageously wicked, brilliantly plotted farcical satire of lies and lust. His most recent work includes the West End productions of What the Butler Saw, and The Ladykillers.
