Acoustic & Folk Music Picnic
Bradgate Park, Leicester.
Join the Park’s first full day of great acoustic and folk music, with a special Bradgate Park flavour, in the unique setting in the heart of the Park. Set in the Ruins of Bradgate House, a day’s celebration of local musicians and songs inspired by Bradgate Park and the stories of its landscape.
FREE ADMISSION FOR UNDER 13s
Start time 12 midday (Entrance to the Ruins from 11am via the East Gate nearest the Visitor Centre side of the Ruins). Ruins close 8.15pm
Tickets will be available to purchase on the day at the full price of £7.50

A chance to see and hear the best local acoustic/folk songwriters who have taken inspiration from Bradgate Park. Bring a picnic, relax and listen to superb music, including new songs commissioned for the WE LOVE BRADGATE PARK campaign.
Confirmed performers include: Govannen, Andy Griffiths, Red Herrings, Steve Cartwright, Black Rat, plus more to be announced in coming weeks!
No alcohol sales, so bring your own. Alonzi Ice cream will have their popular ice cream bikes in the Ruins
A tent and seats will be next to the Lake in the Ruins for informal jamming, sets throughout the day.
Bradgate Park Trust volunteers will be have a number of displays and some simple activities for younger visitors
Sorry due to the amount of picnics and young children, other than assistance dogs - no dogs allowed.
Car parking at the three Bradgate Park car parks is available but charges apply. Newtown Linford (entrance within the village, off Bradgate Road – alongside the use Post Code LE6 OHB for SatNav; about 1.5miles walk to the Ruins on the carriageway); Hallgates (Cropston) (off Roecliffe Road. Use Post Code LE7 7HQ for SatNav; about 1.2miles walk along the carriage way) and Hunts Hill (Old John) (off Sharpley Hill/Warren Hill) and opposite turn into Benscliffe Road use Post Code LE6 OAH for SatNav)
Please note there will NOT be a beer tent (please bring your own); access to the Ruins from 11am; Ruins must be vacated by 8.15 pm.
