More information about Ben Glover & Angel Snow tickets
Ben Glover hails from Glenarm, Co Antrim, a small coastal village in Northern Ireland. This singer/songwriter, inspired by the sounds of Dylan, Cohen, and Cash, traded in a degree in law to pursue music. Glover has been compared to Ryan Adams, David Gray and Bruce Springsteen and has been called one one of the finest writers in Ireland today. He now lives in Nashville.
Ben has garnered rave album and concert reviews from across the globe and has toured extensively both as an opening act as well as a headliner with the likes of Vince Gill, Mickey Raphael, Buddy Miller, Jim Lauderdale, Mary Gauthier, Gretchen Peters and Jason Mraz.
His songs have been used in feature films such as ‘Finding Joy,’ and ‘Light Years,’ and the hit webisode series ‘Adults Only.’ TV programs such as MTV’s ‘The Real World’ and Sky’s ‘Stella’ have used many of Ben’s songs and The BBC and Coca Cola have chosen his music for ad campaigns.
‘Ben Glover’s new album Do We Burn The Boats? is an absolute triumph.’ - The Irish News
‘Ben Glover is blessed with a very special voice, and having written ‘Through The Noise, Through The Night’, shows his ear is also finely tuned to the vicissitudes of the human condition. ‘Full Moon Child’ sounds, to me, like a modern classic.’ – Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue & BBC)
The highest calibre of artistry is often intertwined with the deepest sincerity, as is the case with rising star Angel Snow, whose music is the truest and most honest reflection of her life. Her story plays out in self-penned songs, where detail by detail she lets the listener in on her innermost thoughts, hopes, and dreams.
Fate and faithful perseverance have brought Snow to the present, as she prepares to release her second full-length set. With a major boost from acclaimed star Alison Krauss, Snow’s lifelong dreams are coming to fruition. Krauss and Union Station recorded three songs written by Snow for the deluxe edition of the band’s latest album.
After meeting at a mutual friend’s house, Alison felt like her brother Viktor and Angel would have cool creative chemistry. She was right because a week later the pair wrote the song ‘Lie Awake’ on their first meeting and the song ended up on the new Alison Krauss and Union Station record.
In the two years since meeting Viktor, a renowned musician in his own right, they have written dozens of songs and started work on Snow’s sophomore album. With Viktor as producer, they recruited stellar session players including drummer Matt Chamberlain. The album has eight new songs as well as a few updated tracks originally found on her well-received debut, Fortune Tellers.
