This year, for the first time ever, the Northwest is hosting the UK's newest
and biggest indoor music festival. Blackpool Rocks brings you an eclectic
mix of all things dance, electro, urban and indie with some of the industry's
best talent and biggest names.
One look at the line up and it's no wonder this event is already attracting
some serious attention. Acts like The 1975, Disclosure and Pete Tong are
already confirmed; add to that an awesome indoor venue and it's sure to be a
sell-out. Just one night, eight rooms and 8,000 rowdy revellers - everything
you'd expect from a full on music festival.
THE 1975, DISCLOSURE, AND WRETCH 32 TO HEADLINE GROUNDBREAKING BLACKPOOL ROCKS
FESTIVAL Chart-topping indie superstars The 1975, and dance duo Disclosure
will join rapper Wretch 32 to headline the groundbreaking Blackpool Rocks
festival. Globally-renowned DJ acts including Trevor Nelson and Danny Howard
will also take to the stage at the Winter Gardens gig on 21 December.
The 1975, which recently hit the number one spot with their self-titled debut
album, lead a star-studded line-up in the Live Room, while Disclosure will
perform their killer set in the Dance Arena (hosted by Nothing Else Matters),
and Wretch 32 heats up the Urban Room. Swim Deep, Little Comets, Rae Morris
and Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens will perform in the Live Room during the
one-night-only gig, while Grum and Hannah Wants complete the Dance Arena
line-up. There's also an amazing array of artists lining up to take to the
stage in the 'Other Room'; the super-hot Wretch 32 will be joined by Ms
Dynamite and her unique R&B sounds, followed by the Urban inspired line up
hosted by globally-celebrated DJ Trevor Nelson, DJ's Fully Charged and
up-and-coming girl trio M.O, who will all perform their live sets throughout
the night. Some incredible local talent will be showcased in the exclusive
VIP Randy Ron Pavilion (hosted by Randy Ron) - hear the sounds of Elliot
Smith, Giles Hayton, and Nick Coulson light up the Winter Gardens. A total
of eight rooms and 8,000 people will make the Blackpool Rocks phenomenon a
truly unique experience.
