The CrazyBird Comedy Club and The Malthouse Bar & Kitchen have teamed up to bring you a night of fantastic comedy and tantalizing food on Thursday 14th September at the ever popular venue - The Malthouse Bar & Kitchen in Stroud.
Delicious food from the Malthouse menu will be served between 5-7.30pm before it gives way to four professional comedians from the UK & International comedy circuit.
MC for the evening will be fans favourite, the inimitable Geoff Whiting. Geoff will draw on his 20 years’ experience in the industry to ensure the night gets off to a flyer and will ensure that both audience and acts alike are enjoying themselves.
First on the bill is Belfast boy Ryan McDonnell, “candid and incisive brand of comedy” The Irish Post. Ryan McDonnell is no stranger to laughs in his home town and is currently building up quite a reputation for himself on the UK comedy circuit. Ryan interjects a sharp wit and Irish charm in his observation of everyday life. Sometimes bizarre, often dark he’ll guide you on a unique journey through the world as he sees it.
Seeing you through the middle section is Kiwi comic Richard Lindesay, 'A barrage of great gags, displaying a high level of wit and wordplay' Oliver Smith ‘Speakeasy’ 2016. With his popular quirky gags and offbeat persona, Richard’s act is sure to add a touch of uniqueness to our comedy line-up. An Antipodean Milton Jones / Demetri Martin hybrid, with a friendly and playful delivery of a sharp mix of quirky one-liners and visual gags.
Headlining the evening will be the stunning Mark Palmer. Cheeky South African Mark makes it funny, entertaining and will make you say more than once – that is so true! He is first rate comedy therapy. Mark has been performing and honing his skills for over 11 years becoming one of South Africa's most sought after comedians and he is now based in the UK. Mark brings you great comedy with no harmful side-effects. What? No Vulgarity, No Cringing, No Embarrassing Situations? Oh yes ... once you see Mark live, you will never forget him! Mark gets his material from the daily perils of being newly married, babysitting other people's kids, airport madness, the advances of technology and general social commentary on everyday life. But you are thinking it must be difficult to work clean all the time, right? "Clean comedy is easy. Funny comedy is hard." Mark is both.
