After 10 successful years, Kids In Glass Houses have decided to call it a day.

This comes as no easy decision as Aled explains...“It's a surreal and daunting moment when you realise that you're contemplating bringing to an end something that has given you unquantifiable joy and satisfaction, and that is so personal that it embodies who you are or have been perceived as for so long.

”The band have had an incredible run which spans over 10 years. They’ve had chart success with multiple albums/singles, sold out numerous tours, toured with incredible bands and travelled the world doing what they do best. It’s a sad but an exciting time in the KIGH camp and no doubt their fans will be feeling the same.

Aled goes on...“It's not an easy void to comprehend filling, but I think now is the right time for us to do it. We're all unified in this belief and excited by the prospect of ending things in the best possible spirit at the end of the year. We've known this day was coming for quite a while and have done our best to make sure that the next few months are as memorable as those years that have come before. I really can't thank everyone who has supported us enough.

”To coincide with the tour the band are producing exclusive Smart Casual and Dirt T-shirt, Vinyl and screen print ticket bundles. These are available now (26th Feb) for pre-order from

The South Wales quartet started in 2003 and saw success on the strength of the singles "Give Me What I Want" and "Saturday" off their debut album Smart Casual in 2008. They released their second album Dirt early 2010, which saw the band releasing four singles from this, most notably "Matters at All". The band's third album, In Gold Blood, was released on 15 August 2011. Their fourth album, Peace, was released on 30 September 2013 through Transmission Records which mid weeked in the UK Official Charts Top 20.

Kids In Glass Houses are – Aled Philips (Vocals), Iain Mahanty (Guitar) , Joel Fisher (Guitar) , Andrew Sheehy (Bass) and Phil Jenkins (Drums).

Phil finishes with...“The October tour will be the last for Kids In Glass Houses. However sad that sounds, the whole idea behind this split is to make most of 2014, truly enjoy what we have & give the band an honorable send off. Let's celebrate.”
