More information about Leaf Hound tickets
Led by original vocalist,Pete French, Leaf Hound was a product of the South-West London rock scene of the late sixties, which spawned the likes of Free and other blues-rock acts and their 1971 Growers of Mushroom album achieved massive cult status and now sells on the internet for £3,000. Pete’s reputation as a potent lead vocalist led him to stints as frontman for Atomic Rooster & Carmine Appice’s US band, Cactus. Later in the seventies he served as frontman for popular German act Randy Pie, before recording his acclaimed solo album ‘Ducks in Flight’ which featured Brian Robertson, Micky Moody and Kenney Jones. Pete French re-formed Leaf Hound in 2004. The current line-up is Pete on vocals, guitar by Luke Rayner plus Pete Herbert on bass and Jim Rowland on drums. The band re-issued the Growers of Mushroom album with 1 additional track in 2005 and in 2007 released a brand new album with all songs (but one) written by Pete French and Luke Rayner. Leaf Hound’s Live in Japan album and DVD is set for release in January 2014 in Europe and North America on hot American label, Ripple Music. “The band is among the best
on the British club circuit right now” Malcolm Dome, Classic Rock.
A regular supporter of the Eel Pie Club, it is always a pleasure to see Pete French perform there. For any cinema-goers, you may have heard Pete’s vocals on Leaf Hound’s Freelance Fiend being the soundtrack to the latest advert for Casio G-Shock Watches. See the band’s website at www.leafhound.net.
