The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band features, John Miller (nephew of the great Glenn Miller), Hobsons Choice Dancers & Re-Enactors plus dynamic vocalist Iain Ewing.
The Debbie Curtis Radio Big Band cover Big Band Jazz & Swing over a number of eras. Considered by many to be the best in the UK, they are certainly the most lively and entertaining, it is not a concert, it's a show! Debbie's very own troupe, Hobsons Choice Dancers and Re-Enactors add stunning dance as well as a ghostly glimpse into the past! Viv the Spiv provides some humour with his black market sales antics!
Special guests, The Jive Aces are the UK's top, 6 piece Jive & Swing group. They perform more than 300 shows a year, so far in over 25 different countries. They have appeared on hundreds of TV and radio shows and are renowned for their high energy Jump Jive (an exciting blend of Swing, R&B, Rock 'n' Roll, Boogie & Jump Blues)
The Jive Aces' unique sound comes from a combination of their own original tunes in true swing style as well as fresh arrangements of songs from the era. Classics made famous by such greats as Louis Prima (Just a Gigolo), Louis Jordan (Five Guys Named Mo), Cab Calloway (Minnie the Moocher), Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Louis Armstrong.
