What people are saying about Bat Out Of Hell

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant musical A must for any Jim Steinman and Meatloaf fan. Good scene changes and the use of a camera and screen for certain bits I thought was innovative. Lovely little theatre and we sat in the upper circle and could see all of the stage very well. Lots of enthusiasm and energy from the cast. Brilliant!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely fantastic I bought the tickets as a birthday treat for my friend, but I have to say, this is one of the best shows I have seen. The Vocals were amazing, I had Goosebumps on several occasions. The story line was interpreted exceptionally well to the music. The stage management and effects were mind blowing. What an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend to any meatloaf fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing show Took my mother (a massive meatloaf fan) for her birthday and what a treat it was. A fantastic production that kept surprising us the whole way through. Great actors with amazing voices keep you singing along to the classics. Hoping for a touring production now so I can see it again and again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely brilliant if you're a fan! I went to this on a Friday night with my partner. Firstly the vocal performances were outstanding and we were both impressed, especially with some of the high energy routines the performers had to carry out whilst singing! The story is nothing groundbreaking and is fairly basic but this is all it needed to be.. a vessel to carry you from one brilliant song to the next. I would recommend paying for a better seat than we did if you're excited for this as ours (mid row balcony) did hinder the view a little (more so for my partner at 5'4", not so much for me at 6'4") but this was only an issue for a couple of brief moments of the performance. If you're unfamiliar with the music or not pre-familiarised with the vision Jim Steinmann has tried to create I imagine this would not be as enjoyable as it could be, but not unenjoyable by any stretch of the imagination. If however you know and love the songs and are familiar with the themes and setting, you could not ask for more. The main characters were simply outstanding with both dialogue and singing performances, story is basic but to be any more complicated would be unnecessary as the set provided a visual treat throughout to suck you into the dystopian vision by itself. With a standing ovation at the interval, singing and dancing from the crowd throughout and a huge smile on my face from beginning to end from the high energy music, touching romance and well timed humourous moments, I would not hesitate to go and see this again before it leaves the West End. Get a ticket already!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Brilliant Show I read some reviews about bat out of which were very negative. In my opinion this was one of the best west end shows I've seen. The staging and the storyline to fit in all the bat out of songs was exceptional. Absolutely enjoyed this show from start to finish. The female singer that played raven and the singers that played her mum and dad had truly exceptional voices. Would recommend going to see bat out of .
