What people are saying about Chocolate Show

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Choccy Show We came to the show hoping it would be like the Paris one but unfortunately it was nothing like it. We were quite disappointed as it was so small, and the stage for the fashion show was nothing special, we were there for about 55 minutes in all, it was strange having some savoury stalls that were nothing to do with chocolate, and people offering massage, I felt as if they were filling up the stands with anything, hate saying all this as we always try and appreciate foody shows but I don't think the uk are yet as appreciative of this gendre, maybe in a few more years it will be more popular and we will get a more professional show.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Must for Chocolate Lovers My daughter and I went to the Chocolate Show not really knowing what to expect. Wow - chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! The range of products on offer was amazing, with some lovely flavours available from lots of little artisan producers, as well as some of the bigger manufacturers (I had never seen a box of 'Magnum' chocolates before?!) The talks/shows were good too - educational as well as fun! My only comment was that it would have been nice to see a wider range of exhibitors - maybe more chilled drinks or more hot chocolate drinks? It's pretty much all bars of chocolate ....Would certainly go again next year though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Exciting event! I went to this event with friends. We are all pastry chefs so we got very excited to see lots of different types of chocolates around! The only downside was, we couldn't taste some of the products we wanted. I.e. There was a stall selling brownies, they had lots of different flavours that I really wanted to try. The price were a bit expensive for a small piece of brownie which I didn't mind paying but the only downside was the seller told me that I am not allowed to taste a little bit :( But overall, It was good and satisfying.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome and yummy! I went to this event with my partner and we enjoyed it a lot! The best part was the big amount of different choices of chocolate to be tasted, and the majority of them were so yummy, and those which weren't so much were at least very interesting (except the liquor stand). Just maybe to be improved: a larger amount of hot chocolate choices and stands would be awesome! But I'm sure we will come back, to taste the chocolate and maybe participate in the cooking activities because this time we weren't able. Best

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent day out This was an excellent day out. The hall at Olympia is huge and was filled with chocolatiers plus one or two stalls selling pork baguettes (I think) and wine. It was very hard to know where to start - I concentrated on Hotel Chocolat (in the centre) and on stalls where the chocolate was packed in unusual containers _ little books from one and chocolate spoons from another. There were also refreshment facilities (just in case we wanted a change from chocolate!) and I also went to a talk by someone selling healthy chocolates containing minerals, etc. I tried one of the chocolates and it was just as good as the less-healthy chocolates but, in the end, I bought the less healthy ones. There were other talks by different firms and cookery demonstrations. All in all, an excellent day out!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointing I went to this event with my husband, mum, sister and 3year old nephew and expected to all be entertained and and excited by the event. We called in advance to check that it was suitable for a 3 year old and were reassured it was. But despite arriving 15 mins after doors opened all activities for children were fully booked for at least 2 hours- and there wasnt enough to entertain a child for 2 hours to bother waiting. There was no 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' extravaganza, not even a chocolate fountain- just a machine that dribbled chocolate onto a stick. this is ultimately a chocolate trade show that wants to make money by selling tickets to the public. I was 9 months pregnant and love chocolate but it still was utterly boring- wish we'd just gone to Fortnum and Mason and bought over priced chocolate there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorite events of the year I went to this event with a friend. We had a wonderful day tasting all different sorts of artisan chocolate. There were lots of exhibitors selling their wares which was ideal as Christmas is coming. There were lots of tasting and sampling on the programme. The most amazing part was tasting chocolate from chocolatier who mainly sold his chocolate to Michelin starred chefs! Never tried anything like that before. Fabulous!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Deliciousness exhibited in a boring way I went to the Chocolate Show full of expectation. I had booked the tickets especially for my young nephews who were looking forward to seeing Willy Wonca's choclate factory, and the much publicised sidewise elevator. Unfortunately this was not on. The elevator we were told had been removed from site as it was too big, and the only activity for children was to sit around tables and colour using chocolate paints, MacDonald's style entertainment.... The boredom continued in the way the exhibit stalls were set-up: there to sell rarther than exhibit anything unusual. A sort of covered market rather than an exhibition. The only exciting thing was the display of the chocolate dresses, but in the absence of any activity outside the scheduled 5pm one, it was a very static display of clothing one could find in any village museum. A disappointing Sunday all in all, despite the delicious varieties of choclate on offer.
