Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic night!! First time to Nell's Jazz & Blues Club, we were not disappointed! Christy Moore was as always amazing but the intimate nature of this club just added to the overall experience. Super night, thank you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from All I could hope and expect of an event We enjoyed every aspect of this music event: Christ Moore was thoughtful, lyrical and heartfelt. There were some 'old favourites' for the sake of diehard fans, but new material reflecting a passionate engagement with issues of justice and humanity. The age profile of the audience was predictably, well, my kind of age...oldies! hopefully golden oldies, and there were young people too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A grand evening. Another fantastic artist at this great venue! The intimate atmosphere at Nell's allowed for interaction between Christie Moore and his musicians and the audience. The mixture of material from his catalogue brought intimacy, poignancy, laughs and a sing along.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Christy Moore - a lot harder working than Van the Man Last time we saw yer maun was at the Royal Festival Hall. Pure joy to see him with such a responsive audience in an intimate venue like Nell's. GREAT evening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great night at Nell's Jazz and Blue Club The concert on Wednesday evening at Nell's was the first time I had seen Christy Moore live and it was worth every penny. He has a very relaxed and close rapport with his audience who engaged with him from the moment he stepped on stage. The audience were very familiar with his songs and joined in whenever possible although they were also very respectful of his clear expectation that they listen to him. The bar was closed during the set and he gently reminded an over-enthusiastic member of the audience who started clapping out the rhythm at the beginning of a song that he had a very good drummer with him on stage. He also had Declan Sinnot by his side - a first class but never over- indulgent guitarist who simply enabled Christy Moore to do what he does best. The range of songs was great with stories of a migrants life, militant politcal songs, rousing drinking songs and gentle, wistful songs about life and loves. He also generously invited requests from his audience on a couple of occasions. His warm, self-deprecating and sharp witted manner carried everyone smoothly through the two hour set. I shall certainly try to see him again.
