Rated 5 out of 5 by KevA from In the presence of genius I have long admired Dr John Cooper Clark and seen him perform his work many times. He remains brilliant and hilarious and more relevant than ever. Genius is word used far to frequently, but in this case it is totally appropriate

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mim from heard the name, now seen the man Just happened to hear John Cooper Clarke was in town. A name I've been aware of for years but...so went along. Different kind of experience for me and well worth it. JCC certainly delivered!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jage from one chance in a lifetime some of my friends have seen JCC on many occasions - for me, this was a first and I loved seeing the man himself for all his oddities and quirks - he has a unique view and a great way of using the english language - the event was very well organised and the venue plain but ideal with good acoustics

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dragon Lord from An experience to remember The man is a marvel. Listening to him speak is listening to a mind shaped by creativity over the course of 60+ years. There aren't too many people working today who can have a crowd laughing and thinking in equal measure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jonnoponno from The best doctor's appointment I've ever had. Thought I was only getting JCC. But what a bonus. Simon Day, Luke Wright and Mike Garry had already left me weak from laughing and touched with empathy, sadness and anger. Would the good Doctor have a cure? No, he mercilessly pummeled us with the old, the new and the unfinished, all knitted together with chatty bonhomie, cheesy jokes (even with Tim Vine right below him in the front row) and wickedly barbed arrows aimed at a few choice and deserving victims, particularly Ian Duncan Smith. As a sufferer of IBS, I am now somewhat relieved that, at least, I don't have IDS. Yes, I still managed to enjoy this show even though two bars remained open throughout, with evident chatting, people going back and forth during the performance and people taking pictures and videos all round me. Is this really be what is accepted as appropriate behaviour for a theatre?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike L from Poetastic Had a brilliant time, lovely venue, Luke Wright was great poems with only one vowel the smart person and Simon Day an unexpected treat. Dr John Cooper Clarke a marvel even if he is a "fat f**k".
