Walpole Park, Mattock Lane, Ealing, London, W5 Where is it? Just off Mattock Lane which runs parallel to Uxbridge Road / Ealing New Broadway. How can I get there? The best way to get there is by Public Transport. Walpole Park is less than five minutes' walk from the Uxbridge Road which runs through Ealing Town Centre. The closest tube stations are Ealing Broadway (District and Central Lines) and South Ealing (Piccadilly Line). From Ealing Broadway station there are also overland train routes from Paddington to Reading. Many buses converge in Ealing Town Centre from all directions. Major routes include 65 from the South (Richmond), 207, 427, 607 East-West routes (from Shepherd's Bush towards Uxbridge), 83 from the North (Golders Green). Others include 112, 226, 297, E1, E2, E3, E7, E8, E9, E10 and E11. Where can I park? Limited paid parking is available at Springbridge Road and Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre car parks, as well as behind Ealing Town Hall after 5pm weekdays and all day at weekends. However where at all possible we encourage visitors to use public transport. I'm disabled, are there any special parking arrangements for me? Yes, if you contact the Events Team at the London Borough of Ealing by email on events@ealing.gov.uk or by telephone on 020 8825 6640 they will organise for you to park on the festival site. You must display your blue badge. What other information is there for disabled people? We advise disabled customers to book their ticket by phone rather than by the internet so that you can be allocated an appropriate seat. We also offer a 2 for 1 ticket scheme whereby disabled customers can bring a PA or friend to the event for free (booking and transaction fees will apply). Again, you'll need to book your ticket by phone so that you can take part in this scheme. The event is held in a park so although there are pathways into the park, the event itself takes place on the grass. Disabled toilet facilities are provided at the event. Guide dogs can remain seated next to the customer. There is no infra red headset or loop hearing system in place in the auditorium. Yes, cycle racks are available near the main festival site entrances. What time does it start? For the comedy nights the site opens at 6.30pm and the show starts at 7.45pm. What time does it end? The comedy ends at approximately 10.30pm. Will there be an interval? Yes, there will be one or two 20 minute intervals dependent on that evening's line up. Is there a bar? Yes, the bar will be open between 6.30pm and 10pm. You will be able to bring drinks into the auditorium. What isn't allowed? No glass is to be brought onto the site. Animals, except for guide dogs, are not permitted onsite. Is there an age limit? The comedy festival is generally rated at 18 and over. Adults wishing to accompany their children aged 15 or over are permitted to do so however this is strictly at their own discretion. Can I smoke? Smoking is not permitted inside any of the tents. Will there be food available? Yes, there will be traders onsite selling food. Where can I get more information?
