What people are saying about Elton John
Rated 5 out of 5 by AnitaR from Always my favourite This is the sixth time seeing the Great Sir Elton, I have been a fan of his since I was seven years old and he never ceases to entertain. I introduced him to my second husband who is also a fan now. We love to see him in new venues and he loves to play them. Even though this was in the middle of a field, the sound was fantastic, the lighting and graphics were superb, unfortunately the venue had not catered for so many people and the queues for the food were horrendous, but the drinks, forget the queues, it was a free for all (good job the English are so polite, otherwise there might have been a few fights) Toilets were OK for a temporary outside venue but again, queues horrendous (could have been terrible if you left it too late!!)

From the moment i booked to receiving the tickets i was kept well informed with regilar updates. This was an amazing experience from beginning (drinking pimms whilst sat on the grass in front of Longleat house in the sun shine) to the end Elton was great i recommend seeking him. Thank you

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wilspeed from Fighting the weather Although this event was in May, it was outdoors, a heavy storm had luckily just passed through, but it left it cold enough to be able to see his breath. Elton had two giant fan heaters focussed on him and still rubbed his hands at every interval. Despite this, he played a great set. Considering his age, he sounded as good as at least twenty years ago and gave it his all. He is a classic act and still determined to entertain us, although he did keep mention retirement! Shame about the weather, but well worth seeing. Traffic management was abismal for the showground, 2 hours to get in; more than an hour to get out - not usually that bad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MilesB99 from Great show but poorly organised The bar staff were poorly trained and far too slow. Queues took forever, all night long. Elton came on 25 minutes early with no announcements or warnings. He walked off stage after unfairly swearing at the stewards and safety staff. And finished 45 minutes earlier than scheduled. The bars and food promptly closed early too, and we were chucked out the venue, leaving us to sit on the street waiting for our taxi which was prebooked in line with the scheduled finish time. But the performance itself was great, still a great pianist and powerful voice. Great visuals behind stage complemented the songs well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Piefinch from Top drawer outdoor Elton. My wife and I took 2 friends who had not seen Elton before or attended a concert of any sort. Apart from the 2hour 4 mile journey to gain access to the site in Kent everything else was perfect. The support was top quality and just as the rain had stopped and Elton took the stage for well over 2 hours of top class entertainment. We would have gladly booked to see it again had the opportunity arisen. This was the 10 th time we had seen Elton since 1974 and was right up with the best of them. Every song you wanted to hear was included and great to see Nigel Olsen and Davey Johnstone all playing as well if not better than at Hammersmith on Friday 13th December 1974. Hurry back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jules312 from A Disaster!!! (Altho Elton was Brilliant) Elton was brilliant. The event organisation was the worst I've seen. We were queuing on the M5, just over half a mile back from the Sowton Services slip road, and didn't move for almost 3 hrs. We missed the support act completely, and the first hour of Elton's act. The venue have this morning published an apology, but nothing more. No traffic accidents could be blamed, it was purely down to an inability to deal with the volume of traffic. I'll rate this as poor, purely based on the disastrous organisation, spending nearly 4 hours in our car on the M5 is dangerous. I can't put into words the frustration felt. What I did manage to see of Elton's performance was very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IEE from Elton John Edinburgh Fab concert. Elton sang lots of the old favourites to please the masses...masses of very drunk middle aged women who probably don't remember much of the concert. Their loss

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fritzy from Captain Fantastic put on a great show Forty three years since buying Goodbye Yellow Brick Road I finally get to see Elton John on a rainy night in a 'field' in Lincoln...he opened with my (two) favourite songs Funeral for a Friend and Love Lies Bleeding...and closed with Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting and an encore of Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me...He was on stage for well over two hours, played countless hits and was excellent.....although the two hours to get out of the car park was a little tedious it did give us time to dry out ! The only notable omission for me was Crocodile Rock which was a shame. In Summary a FANTASTIC night which brought back many happy memories of my teenage years. Thank you Sir Elton.
