What people are saying about Emancipator
Rated 2 out of 5 by Shahed and Adeelah from Not bad seeing our favourite band but the venue was not so good We were lucky to have obtained the seating areas which were limited. The sound system was terrible and was far from clear. People on the main floor kept leaving their drinks on the side where we were seated. With the vibration coming from the speakers, their glasses and bottles often fell on our feet and a couple of glasses had smashed on the floor. If only the bar staff had people to make sure that someone comes and collects people's drinks, that would have been great. Parking can be an issue for events like this, as spaces are limited. Rather disappointed for the shabby looks of the venue. The roof was even leaking when it was raining that night.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Peter K from nice event but rude concert goers Hi, I was happy with the event itself but not happy about how venue staff failed to intervene when a group of people int he crowd got really rude, shouting at the DJ in quiet moments, talking so loud whole bits were inaudible and pushing and shoving to get in front only to turn around a moment later, repeatedly. This was a very ambient music event and their behaviour kind of ruined it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MemoCreations from Chilled Vibes With Just Enough Hype I've been a fan of Emancipator since I heard his first self-released album 'Soon It Will Be Cold Enough' and this was my first chance to catch Douglas live - and I'm so glad I had the opportunity. Both him and the support (Frameworks - on Emancipators Loci records and worth checking out if you haven't heard him) managed to orchestrate a set with a nice mix of the ambient, trip-hopped bliss we all know and love with just enough energy at the right times to keep the crowd buzzing. It's a hard task to do that and both artists accomplished it well...and I was happy Emancipator played a mix of tracks from all four of his albums. Only reason this isn't a 5* review is because it would've been great to have a few more live instruments (Frameworks had his trumpet player and Emancipator had a violinist). But trust me, if you're a fan of this music don't miss this show, overall I had a great night and have ticked another 'must-see' off my list!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Christd900 from Great gig. Awful choice of Alcholic beverages Great gig and love the location. However the bar wasn't the best. Also the bouncer wouldn't let me leave half way through to put my coat in the car which was just across the road and forced me to use the cloakroom, which annoyed me somewhat
