More Information about Filming Locations Walking Tour

Event Information On this 75 minute official walking tour visitors will get an insight into the locations used to film Doctor Who in Cardiff Bay. The tour has been updated to include locations from the current series 10. Location highlights include Victorian London, Mancini's Restaurant from Peter Capaldi's first episode Deep Breath, Series 9's American Diner from Hell Bent, the Great Intelligence's snowy HQ and the iconic Torchwood Hub - now used as a shrine to fallen Torchwood member, Ianto Jones. The tour involves a 1.5 mile walk in public places, pedestrian's concourses and road side pavements. Participants will need to be able to walk in short bursts at the average walking speed of approx. 3 miles per hour. The tour will start from the Doctor Who Experience - itself a filming location - at the Coal Hill School meeting point in the venue's foyer. Please be advised that the tour starts promptly at the advertised time, its duration 75 mins (approx.). Unlike previous editions of the tour, the Filming Locations Tour ticket does not include entry to the Doctor Who Experience itself. These can be purchased separately. If doing so, and visiting on the same day, please pay close attention to each start time, allowing at least 90 minutes between the walking tour and admission to the Doctor Who Experience (or vice versa). Please be advised that due to weather conditions the Filming Locations Tour may not be able to go ahead on any given day. In circumstances such as these, tickets will be refunded through original method of sale, please see Box Office staff on the day for advice. We endeavor to run the tours in light rain; though refunds would be permitted under these conditions should individuals choose.
