Rated 5 out of 5 by from A coming of age Went with a fellow Aplin fan, and we were not disappointed, this was one of the first times that she had performed some of her new tracks live, from her long awaited second album, Light up the Dark, a genuinely emotional time for her playing at Wilston's Music Hall, the Venue where she first got signed, This was a sentimental milestone that came across in her performance, with real genuine emotions that echoed in the delivery of her new tracks. There was an increase in maturity in the music as she begins to experiment with new genres and styles, break free from the style that made her a household name, a true sign of this was that Power of Love wasn't even on the set list... just echoing the developments she made of late.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great voice, shame about the venue! Gabrielle's support acts were your average low budget affairs, so the anticipation of Gabrielle's arrival was heightened. The O2 Academy in Bristol was the worst venue we have attended for a concert on nearly 40 years! All we actually saw all night was the intense flashing stage lights and that was about it, so don't make the mistake of standing at the back on the upper level - YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. In my opinion you should be able to get a decent view of any artist from wherever you stand/sit at a concert? We also struggled with the idea of crowds watching on the stairs, surely this is not good in an emergency situation (like needing the loo or worse a fire/security incident! Sorry Gabrielle, you may have a beautiful voice backed by excellent musicians, but we all came away thoroughly disappointed on the night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gabrielle Aplin at The Rescue Rooms I went to see Gabrielle Aplin with my 17 year old son at the rescue rooms in Nottingham. We had seen Hudson Taylor previously so we're looking forward to them being in the band. From the get go Gabrielle s voice was spotless and pure. I had worn out the 1 st album and had only briefly listened to the new one... But was mesmerised by each song. There was a fab mix of ages in the room and everyone was carried along with her effortless voice and songs. Amazing night

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!! Somehow even better live She sounded brilliant. Her voice was perfect and the songs live were incredible. She had a full band with her (incl. a violin) and did some old songs in a slightly different style (which was an improvement) and did a few songs on her own on guitar and then at the end with just a piano and violin which was really good. Saw her at the Albert Hall, incredible venue - such a good gig overall! Definitely recommend going if you can

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond talented Seeing Gabrielle Aplin live is something quite hard to explain. She is beyond talented, and every single time I see her she leaves me speechless. Her music is, as always, perfect; and when she performs in such a small venues as she is used to play, it makes it so intimate and powerful... And she is funny and weird, which is extra points for her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great night out.....no need to pull the panic cord Gabrielle Aplin , her band and her support acts put on a great show at Rock City on a Friday night. Brilliant that she played an impromptu version of Lights Out with Saint Raymond Only at Nottingham. She played a combination of classics and tracks from her new album. Her backing singer Hannah Grace played the first set, has a great Jazz voice.
