What people are saying about Ideal Home Show

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great day out I really enjoyed the ideal home show and it was a great day out! Would defiantly go again! However it was lacking some design and house construction to be part of the show instead of things that can just be bought

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal Home Exhibition Went to this event with a friend who was in the midst of building a new extension and kitchen. Good to see the latest kitchen equipment, lighting and other essentials. But we also had fun and tried out a wobbly board, samples of chocolate and fizz in the food sections. Took in a couple of talks, Alan Titchmarsh was particularly good, fab Q&A session. Wandered around the market upstairs where we found a unique child's clothes producer and I still can't believe it but I bought a modern loo brush and it works so much better than a traditional one!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing visit to Ideal Home Show in Manchester I went to the Ideal Home Show at Eventcity, Manchester with my parents. It was very disappointing - I had expected much better. There were no show homes. There were only TWO room shows. Nobody selling wallpaper, paint, fabrics or even hand soap. Mostly the exhibition was about firms selling conservatory roofs or hobbit houses. The website made this event sound far more impressive than it was. The food area in Room 2 was just appalling. I am giving this one star for the lunch that we had which was really good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than last year Went on opening day, long queues of traffic to get to the venue; we almost gave up and went home. Very glad we didn't! Lots of interesting stands and displays. Food hall was packed with both stands selling food to eat there and then, food to take home and food related gadgets. Lots of novel Christmasy stuff in the Christmas section as expected. Home and household department covered all aspects. Fashion and beauty ranged from makeup to clothing, bot women's and men's for a change! This year, the show included the Cake and Bake Show as a separate section, so even more "foodie" stands and a fantastic array of decorated cakes. Many stages had star performers giving demos from how to make a Christmas trimming to how to cook virtually anything. Overall, entertaining, informative and a good day out. Glad we went!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MRS This was the second time l went to the Ideal Home Exhibition. Yes l did enjoy myself and two friends. But the only thing was the show was not as good as last year. Also the food section was not a patch on last year. Two of us went last year and we was unable to get round all the show but this year we had several hours left and went out for something to eat. Which was disappointed as there was not a lot to choice from. I not sure about going next year.
