What people are saying about Kishi Bashi

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A delightful, intimate performance bursting at the seams with talent The last time I saw Kishi Bashi & Tall Tall Trees was actually for the first time in October 2014 at the very same venue, and I was delighted to hear they were returning. Tall Tall Trees welcomed the crowd with an impressive array of sounds thanks to his mastery of the Banjotron 5000. Together, though, Kishi Bashi & Tall Tall Trees achieve such an incredible energy in their performances. It's astonishing how well they can build up a diverse and full sound as a duo. They exude talent and positive energy, and the entire audience can feel it. The banter between songs had the whole venue laughing too. We were privy to tales of BBC Three, and Kishi mistook Gary Oldman for Alan Rickman. Thank you both for such a fun and joyous evening. I eagerly await your return!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastically spectacular There really isn't anyone else like Kishi Bashi. Supported by the most excellent tall tall trees, Kishi armed with a violin and a bank of effect pedals, used his wizardry to completely capture the crowd and whipped them into a state of euphoria. The venue was the Soup Kitchen, in Manchester, a city Kishi named a song after, which as an acoustic encore he joined the centre of the crowd with his multicoloured banjo companion to make an already special event into a unique one. One of the best gigs I have been too, with feelings of CATQ at Latitude 2016.
