What people are saying about Latitude Festival 2017

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Latitude -a truly fantastic experience Despite doing lots of research before we went as to who we wanted to see -we were just not prepared for the amazing diversity of the events so varied we were absolutely spoilt for choice -my frustration was I couldn't be in two different places at the same time!! We found the facilities generally very good although we did cave in regarding the campsite toilets so opted for The Seat of Luxury facility -money well spent in my view. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed -everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves but no wonder with so much to see and do. With so many different events happening we were totally entertained and enthralled from early morning to very late in the night from our arrival on Thursday till the early hours of Monday morning. We loved it all and plan to return next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant time for all Easy to get to. Well signposted. Entertainment fabulous. Families encouraged and very clean. People there for a good time, not like at other festivals were people just want to fall about drunk. Something for everyone and reasonable priced.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great venue, beautiful setting The overall experience has been very positive. Great comedy acts, good overall performances and a fantastic app to guide you through the weekend. Atmosphere is very chilled and friendly staff everywhere. Less positive was the lack of bike racks. We are local people who would like to cycle in, everything is geared to the car, for a festival who prides itself on its green credentials it would be good to bear in mind that not everyone wants to come to the festival by car. We also found the sheer volume of the music too loud. It made Fleet Foxes a very disappointing experience. Always love their music, but the loudness made it virtually impossible to listen. The volume destroyed the quality of the music and no, it wasn't just the oldies who thought this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely fabulous family event! we had low expectations for this as our first festival with kids (6 and 8). We planned to see a bit of music, eat some food and get their faces painted. We didn't plan to see any acts we liked as we thought it would be overwhelming and too busy for the kids. How wrong we were.... we LOVED it. The arena was easy to move in and around. The acts were brilliant and the atmosphere was electric. We were able to see a variety of acts and just soak it all in. Amazing! We will definitely be back next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Waitrose of Festivals (literary) The easy going Latitude festival was up to the usual standard and with the presence of the Waitrose tent it really does show it's socio-economic audience base. I'm not being negative but maybe we're a bit too safe!. Musical acts we mixed bunch but the biggest criticism of the main stages were that they were too male and too white (and in many cases the result was too boring). Lets try and be a bit more diverse. Loved Two Door Cinema on Saturday, Placebo were good (great encores) and Sink (on the BBC introducing stage) were excellent. 1975 were awful - if you are going to prance around without a shirt like Iggy you need to have some decent tunes. For next year is possible that we can have a lot less guy guitar bands - it all sounds a bit same.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall fun It is the first time I have been to a festival (aged over 60) and did find the spacing of tents difficult as I'm used to camping in a circle at Unicorn camps, however overall I did enjoy the festival. It was extremely lucky that we had brilliant weather - hot and sunny! My focus was the healing area and the magical wood walk with the beautifully made 10 ft high flowers and lighting. I enjoyed the drama, dance and talks too. Music was not my focus though I understand there were good bands present. Toilets were clean. Would have helped to know we had to have a deposit of £50 to use the trollys. Also could do with more showers as some girls were washing their hair in the washing up area - not very hygienic.
