Sports-mad comedian and talkSPORT presenter Matt Forde hosts a brand new comedy chat show featuring some of the biggest professional names in sport as well celebrity fans and of?cials. The guests for the Sports Party this month are Bobby Gould and Terry Alderton. Bobby Gould is one of the most eccentric personalities in sport. A successful footballer and manager, he is known for leading Wimbledon to the greatest FA Cup Final upset in history when they beat Liverpool at Wembley in 1988. As a player he represented, amongst others, Arsenal, Coventry City and Wolverhampton Wanderers. As well as winning the FA Cup with Wimbledon, he managed Coventry City, Cardiff City and managed on the international stage as the boss of Wales for 4 years. Those 4 years proved to be tumultuous and included a feud with the Manic Street Preachers. His style was unpredicatable, a sharp contrast to the manner in which modern football is conducted. He is known to millions as the co-host of ?The Sports Bar? with Andy Goldstein on talkSPORT where his unconventional approach to broadcasting has earned him a whole new legion of fans. Bobby Gould was a hero in the last era where football felt closer to the fans. Bursting with stories about the players he managed like the huge talents of Ryan Giggs and Gary Speed as well as rogues like Dennis Wise and Vinnie Jones, Bobby is a genuine one-off. This evening proves to be a hilarious account of a wonderful career and a glittering era in football. Celebrity football fan Terry Alderton started out as a goalkeeper for his beloved Southend United before starting his successful career in comedy. Terry has appeared on the biggest comedy shows on TV including Live at the Apollo and Michael McIntyre?s Comedy Roadshow. A talented actor, he recently played the part of Terry Spraggan, Bianca?s love interest in EastEnders. His Edinburgh shows are legendary and earned him a nomination for the prestigious Perrier Award. Terry is also passionate and opinionated about sport, football in particular, and isn?t afraid to speak his mind.
