What people are saying about Nile

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gig. Death metal masterclass! Wasn't fussed on the opening band but MELECESH and NILE delivered in spades. none were totally on the money. Great venue too. No barrier, no ott security Total result!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4th time of seeing the mighty NILE The Dome is a seriously good venue..the sound mix has always been very good when I've been there.. and .. no crash barriers.. and generally the crowd there are well behaved. 1st band on Embryo, hadn't heard of them before , but really pretty good . Next, a band I've waited a long time to see live , Melechesh. They have a very original sound and played a very tight set. Finally , Nile ! Saw them when they were here in September.. and as then played up to their usual more than high standards. Anyone who has heard George Kollias play but never seen him live.. go see Nile... how he keeps the mega speed up all gig is beyond reason! Karl and Dallas on guitars play just impossibly technically.. and basist Brad giving it much windmilling. A top gig all round.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Truncated, but due to extraneous circumstances Nile really made an excellent choice of their first support act in the form of Italian band Embryo. I have seen some real stinkers "first on", but they were not one of them. Tight musicianship, precise and dextrous guitar work, and a charming, exuberant frontman. As for Melechesh; I was delighted that they were able to make it at all considering Ashmedi's legal matters back in Israel, that he went to such effort to make it onto the tour speaks volumes for the man, and seeing Melechesh translate the wizardry of their studio albums to the live stage was a pure joy to witness (though my ears took a beating in the process). I only saw 25 minutes of Nile's performance because I had to make the last train home, which was utterly infuriating because I love Nile's work, and have eagerly awaited every new album I always pre-order that they've made since "Those Whom The Gods Detest". I was there for "Kafir" and "Call to Destruction" and "Hittite Dung Incantation". So, extraneous circumstances are the only thing stopping me giving a 5* review here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The mighty Nile awesome as ever I always love seeing and hearing Nile. The 8 April Dome gig in London was truly exceptional. Support from Melechesh was mighty fine too.
