Rated 4 out of 5 by Flynny 39 from Top night out Sweet Baboo for a Warm Sunday night provided us with a great evenings entertainment. Brilliantly talented songwriter and performer his between song banter was great too. Soup kitchens a great venue for music just a little basic and scruffy but does what it needs to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WBob from Sweet Baboo--Fresh and Original as Always I first discovered Sweet Baboo when he supported The Leisure Society about three years ago. He came on with his acoustic guitar and said, "Hello, I'm Sweet Baboo--but my parents call me Stephen." Everybody laughed, and from then on I was hooked. The show at Manchester's Soup Kitchen on Friday 5th February 2016 was in support of his new EP "Dennis". There were three songs from that and almost all of the recently released "The Boombox Ballads". This, of course, meant that a number of old favourites had to be sacrificed. I did miss "I'm a Dancer", "The Day I Lost My Voice", "Bounce", and "Let's Go Swimming Wild", but I appreciate that he can't play everything from his ever expanding catalogue. The Soup Kitchen venue was a cellar--about one hundred people all packed in! But it was great. I'd definitely go again. It goes without saying I'll be seeing Sweet Baboo again--the next time he comes to the North West, in fact!

Rated 5 out of 5 by GDSutton from Always love watching Sweet Babs He played a great set, could have carried on listening to him for hours. Mix of old and new tracks. He didn't play some big songs but every one he did was top, shows the depth he has now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Sweetness and light Superb show by Sweet Baboo - full of humour and wit, ably battling against the thumping techno from upstairs, and without a backing band! Dan Bettridge was a great warm up, gravelly alt country type solo acoustic, great that the crowd was already there for him.
