What people are saying about The Arusha Accord

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tech Fest warm up show The Arusha Accord have been on a 7 year hiatus since their debut "The Echo Verses" droped. Now signed to the independent label of the moment Basick Records (also home of A Trust Unclean) and having dropped a new single "Blackened Heart", it's going to be a big summer for these lads. Perception from Oxford opened the night to a slowly filling Sub89 and their six string bass and eight string guitar make an impression but there is some use of a backing track that seems unnecessary for additional guitar work. Arcaeon are up next and despite having only just recorded their EP which will not drop until September, they bring a Tesseract vibe that is an joy to behold. Looking forward to more from these guys. Carcer City are really something else. I saw them in support of Attila (they are signed to Fronz's Stay Sick Recordings) and they blew The Word Alive off the stage and out of the water. Tonight is the same and The Arusha Accord are brave in bringing such a heavyweight support band to their first show in 7 years. The Arusha Accord hit the stage with a frenetic energy like they haven't been away. They sound like a tech metal version of The Dillenger Escape Plan and have clearly put the hours in at the rehearsal space. By the time they hit the stage, the venue is packed. They pull out two new songs while passing around a bottle of Morgan's Spiced Rum and sonically smash it. Closer "Dead to Me" is a gem. Tech Fest and Euro Blast are both on the horizon and the future is looking bright.
