What people are saying about The Libertines

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great venue for a a great band This gig was a last minute 'secret gig' that only went on sale 24 hours before. With the band set to embark on an arena tour it was the only chance to catch them in an intimate setting where they could be seen clearly from any spot in the venue. The chemistry between Carl and Pete was alive and kicking, the new tunes sounded raw and full of energy and the old stuff sounded as good as ever leading to the whole 800 strong crowd singing and bouncing along. A spine tingling atmosphere and a special gig night to have been a part of

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Libertines were the best, as usual! It is the fifth time that I see The Libertines and it was again mind-blowing. I must admit that the band was not in their best shape: they did not talk much to the crowd neither between them and they did not move much on stage. However their performance was still incredible weather they played their new songs or their classics (well, all songs that are not on the new album). But what amazed me the most was the crowd. For the third time I could experience The Libertines in their homeland and it just confirms one more time that rock'n roll IS british. Rock'n roll is part of British culture. Booze, drugs, pogos, it never stopped until the end. People just went crazy for EVERY song. For Don't Look Back Into The Sun I turned around to see the crowd and I thought "Oh my god look at that madness…". Unfortunately I could not enjoy all the pogos as usual because I hurt my knee two days ago… It did not keep me from being in front of the stage and having one of the best moment of my life. At the end I thought: "This gig was truly rock'n roll, I will never experience this in France". Anyway I cannot way to see them in Paris at L'Olympia. I still dream of seeing them in a more intimate venue, like I should have had at the Electric Ballroom in Camden…

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Libertines @ O2 The venue is no good for events like this. The Libertines were excellent though. Sleaford Mods were disappointing, The Enemy should have preceded The Libertines, they were very good. The O2 Arena isn't right for this kind of event. Atmosphere and sound gets lost in the rafters. The bar arrangement was a joke. If you build a venue with this kind of capacity the catering must be able handle the quality of people. Within reason anyhow.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Libertines Have seen this band before at a smaller venue too, this was a new venue for me but what really stood out for a mature music lover was the standard of communication by the ticket provider and the excellent security staff. Great night thank you The Empire (and The Libertines)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome night Went with a friend, fairly quick and easy getting in. The Beer was better priced than I was expecting - just over £4 a pint. The Enemy supporting were quality as always but this was the first time I'd seen The Libertines and they did not disappoint. Wicked night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! I bought these tickets for my daughter and her friend. I asked them for the review and this is what they said: A truly great experience. The Libertines were fantastic! The best concert they have seen in a very long time. Would definitely go again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really cool The O2 is really big and I could'nt see really well: a second screen or a biger one would have been Better. Otherwise everything was great! Lights, sound.. Fantastic! It is a pleasure to see them all together on stage

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gig, terrible sound. The Libertines were brilliant but the sound was so bass heavy it was fuzzy. In terms of the venue, expensive drinks as ever and I'm told the gents loos overflowed pretty quickly. Urgh
