What people are saying about Thee Oh Sees

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3 Fantastic Bands Magnetix started proceedings and brilliant they were this Due from France simply a girl drummer and a guitarist. The blind Shake up next really got things going. Then finally what we came to see The Oh See's and they didn't disappoint. Very good venue - plenty of space to find the position you want and a well staffed bar, so you never had to wait long for your drink..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most amazing gig of my life!!!!! As soon as I heard the Thee Oh Sees were playing in Leeds I HAD to see them. I bought tickets immediately from See Tickets - smooth transaction - job done. And the gig surpassed anything I've seen for a very long time - John Dwyer was awesome and the double drumming out of this world! Great venue - great city. Wish I could do it all over again. And again, and again......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great gig at great venue I went not knowing much about the band and nothing about the venue. Both were a great surprise. Band were excellent and venue very good too. Venue undergoing update and more toilets would be good idea. Sound very good and it proves a great venue doesn't have to be dark and dingey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thee Mighty Oh See's Clattering drums, driving bass, guitars that sound like shattering glass and eery vocals that punctuate each rock out with a 'WOH!', Thee Oh See's have developed a live style that is distinctly their own. Hailing from San Francisco the band is led by John Dywer (the only constant) a prolific artistic force to be reckoned with. The sound is equal parts Surf Rock, Garage Rock, Post-punk and Post-hardcore at times being reminiscent of everyone from the B-52's to Fugazi. The band over the past 10 years have released an assault of very consistent garage rock records but it is live where the band truly shines. John Dwyers presence is palpable and the band plays with a terrifying force. The sound is huge and the crowd on fire. I've never seen a crowd quite like it. The setlist featured spattering a of new material with obvious fan favourites thrown in for good measure but the consistency here allows everything to flow effortlessly. Surely we are seeing this generations closest thing to the Fall. A prolific band that shuffles with an artistic clear vision at the centre.
