More Information about VELOCITY

Brand new for 2013, MCFC and British Cycling have created a charity event like no other, called VELOCITY. On Friday 22nd March 2013 we will take over the Velodrome at the National Cycling Centre, the home of British Cycling, for 24 hours of non-stop cycling with sporting and celebrity teams. But most importantly, they will be raising valuable funds for charity. Each team, made up of five riders, will choose their hour between 7pm on Friday 22nd March all the way through until 7pm on Saturday 23rd. Whether tag-teaming the track or going for the most distance, those 60 minutes are the team's chance to prove their skill on the world famous track. Registrations are open till midnight on Thursday the 21st of March 2013 at which point the team leader needs to pay ú100 to reserve the hour. Entrance costs ú100 per rider, or ú500 for the whole team of five. All riders must be at least 12 years of age. You don't have to stop there, if you want to continue to raise money for the event, simply click on the Just Giving link on the Velocity homepage . Where you can either make a one off donation or create a page to raise money for the Velocity event. Just follow the simple step by step guide on the site. Don't forget to link your page to the Velocity event! There are some great prizes, such as a money can't buy, one-hour Velodrome session with a member of the British Olympic cycling team, for the teams who raise the most for the charity.
