“It’s an album that should be on everyone’s radar” - Folk Radio

"This one is utterly unique" - Far Out

Award-winning folk songwriter Amelia Coburn has announced her debut album 'Between The Moon and The Milkman' produced by Bill Ryder-Jones due March 8th 2024, alongside a UK headline tour across May & June.

Set for release on March 8th 2024, ‘Between The Moon and The Milkman’ is the first full-length record from award-winning folk songwriter Amelia, whose distinctive voice and unique storytelling talent has seen her emerge at the forefront of an exciting new generation of alt-folk voices.

Having reached the finals of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, winning UKE Magazine’s Breakthrough Artist Award and joining English Folk Expo’s Artist Mentoring Scheme all in the last year, Amelia turned her thoughts to the recording studio and quickly found a kinship with producer and like-minded, free-thinking songwriter Bill Ryder-Jones (The Coral, Michael Head and The Elastic Band, Brooke Bentham, Saint Saviour) disclosing:

“I’ve never in my life worked with someone quite like Amelia and I still can’t quite put my finger on what she is! That’s a compliment by the way - she came in with these incredibly clever, moving songs that just blew me away... It would’ve taken me a day to record just her and her uke but she wanted a bigger sound, so we had a lot of playing around with these arrangements.”

Between The Moon and The Milkman’ is set for release March 8th 2024 and is available to preorder now.

After the release of 'Between The Moon and The Milkman' Amelia will be taking this new set of songs on the road throughout May & June. Beginning with a performance at Glasgow's legendary venue McChuills, she will head out across England for another six dates, wrapping up in her beloved hometown of Stockton at The Georgian on June 8th.
