More information about Music Train tickets

The £22 (plus 10% booking fee) package of music at Alexanders and food also includes taxis from Chester Station to Alexanders and back again.  The food is Dave Johnson’s award-winning local bangers with mash, peas and gravy (Vegan option available). You'll need a train ticket as well, so please purchase this separately.  The music is in the rear carriage of a two-car train or the second carriage of a four-car train. The Music Train leaves Altrincham at 18:36 and return leaves Chester at 22:52.  Please notify us when you have booked if you have any dietary requirements.

Pastry Shoes - ‘With sweet and compelling female vocals and harmonies, a single guitarist who skilfully creates the sounds of a full band, and the smooth, melodic tones of the tenor sax, Pastry Shoes will soothe you with easy-listening and familiar jazz and swing numbers - or have you singing to popular hits from the 1950s to the present day’.

Shadetree Mechanics are a three piece blues band, Rob Poole on guitar, lapslide guitar and vocals has penned much of the band’s repertoire, Roger Fawcett on Bass guitar and Resonator guitar and vocals also writes for the band and Bob Berg on drums and percussion lays down the groove of the set.

From thoughtful and haunting tunes to surprising classics this band entertains.
