What people are saying about How To Dress Well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't wait until the next time I see them again They were really engaging and interactive. Tom Krell sings with so much raw emotion and his band are amazing. I'm one of these people that have only recently discovered the joy of listening to How To Dress Well, after a chance Shazaming of Lost Youth/Lost You, when I was in a bar in Edinburgh a few months ago. Their music really resonated with me and I've subsequently had the pleasure of listening to the older albums and EPs. I still wonder how I had never heard some of their older stuff which is equally beautifully constructed and pleasantly sonorous. Tom gave such in depth explanations into the reasons, experiences and thought processes that led him to write the songs he wrote (some happy and some tragically sad) and in that respect the gig became a representation of the ups and down of life. The synergy within the crowd was palpable. I know I gave it 4 stars but I meant to give it 4.5 stars but I can't. They lose 0.5 stars for not playing Words I don't Remember. My mind was teased with anticipation and the expectation of hearing another of their great pieces which in my mind is bordering on transcendental (it is a brilliant song and it resonates with me a lot - sorry to sound pretentious).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands-down greatest gig of my life Tom Krell's soaring vocals made me laugh and cry. Truly a god among musicians.
