What people are saying about James Bay

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible night on an incredible city. I saw James Bay at the Castlefield Bowl arena in Manchester which is smack bang in the city centre. The venue was great, concrete floor so no mud and steps up (its an ampitheatre) so we had a fantastic view of the stage. The atmosphere was great and the crowd were really friendly. And of course James Bay was amazing!!!!!!! Would use See tickets again as the service was great. Fantastic night

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple amazing. For the event to start at 5 and James not to come out till 9. The wait was very pro longed and people started to get bored. Once he came out the atmosphere was incredible and James himself blew my mind. It was better than I ever expected it to be. The view was insane. I was so close. And the venue was lovely. Shame about the portaloos!! Felt like I was at a festival, I really enjoyed my experience. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Faithless Great Rocker and musician. The silhouette from his characteristic black hat cut across the stage as the first tracks crashed around the arena. Collide followed by Craving transformed the crowd into a mass of moving bodies, frantically grabbing each other to sing to. Bay knows his audience and plays to the inevitable role his music occupies for many couples. Performing a fantastic cover of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love with You, he challenged the crowd to throw their arms around the ones they love. Showcasing his musical prowess with a cryptic but recognisable cover of Alicia Keys, Bay proved his talent as a singer-songwriter is challenged only by his ability as a guitarist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful musicianship, great atmosphere, great venue! Went to this show, in honesty, as my wife wanted to see James Bay. i am familiar with and do enjoy his music but the idea of the show was hers. I have to say, I was blown away - his musicianship and performance skills live really translate the songs wonderfully and I vastly prefer to the recorded versions. His delivery and personality as well as genuine vocal and guitar skill really come across. The support band, Jacob, whilst not normally my thing were also technically wonderful. The venue is also a beautiful setting for such a show, the atmosphere friendly and family oriented - I wouldn't hesitate to revisit the venue or to book to see James Bay again - i'm sure I'll find myself booking both in the near future!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent gig! Shame so many didn't see it with their own eyes... One of my friends is a huge James Bay fan, so I got tickets as a birthday present for him. The gig was brilliant, James Bay sounded fantastic, as did his band and backing singers. The only issue we had were the huge amount of phones (and a couple of iPads!!) we had to look past in order to see the stage! There was also a LOT of chatter all around us with was very loud during the quieter songs performed. So the gig was amazing! It was the other gig-goers who were the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from He Just Keep's Getting Better! A triumphant, atmospheric, emotional performance in front of 5,000 excited fans, who sang every word to every song! This was the third time that I have seen James perform live in the past year and you can see the huge strides he has made in that time. Roll on the 9th July and his headline spot at the Mouth of the Tyne Festival!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from James bay amazing venue horrendous I went to this event on Saturday 2nd of April. I had standing seats and to say that I was crushed is a understatement. The venue was clearly over sold and even at the back of the venue there were people who couldn't get in to the room it was so full. Worst gig of my life I didn't see anything or hear much as it was awful.
