Reading & Leeds 2011 is back with the biggest and most talked about artists from around the world performing across 7 stages over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. 2011 is bigger than ever with four headliners confirmed, including My Chemical Romance, The Strokes, Pulp and Muse! My Chemical Romance , have had phenomenal success with a series of top albums, including their third offering, 'The Black Parade', going platinum. Festival Republic are very excited to announce that their undoubtedly electrifying headliner slot, will be the band's only English festival appearance this summer. The Strokes are currently enjoying a very welcome return to form, after their first album, 'This Is It', was named NME's Album of the Decade, they are back with 2011's fantastic 'Angles' and their performance at Reading & Leeds promises to showcase the group back at the very top of their game. Pulp are quite simply, one of the most successful and popular British bands of our times, with anthems including 'Common People' and 'Do You Remember the First Time', their set at Leeds is their only date in the North of England and their performance promises to be utterly unforgettable. Muse have regularly been voted one of the best live groups in the world, and Festival Republic is very pleased to confirm that this will be their only European live date for 2011, after selling nearly 10 million albums worldwide, their headliner set will, without a doubt, be one of the highlights of the weekend. Festival republic can also announce the NME / Radio One Stage headliners for 2011 are Beady eye, Jane's Addiction, 2 Many DJ's and The Streets , with support coming from Noah & The Whale, White Lies, Noah & The Whale, The Vaccines, Crystal Castles, Glassjaw, Bombay Bicycle Club, Death From Above 1979 and Panic! At The Disco . The Lock Up Stage is back with another epic ska and punk line-up including headline performances from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The King Blues, Descendents and Flogging Molly, with support from The Bronx, Capdown, Comeback Kid, Bedouin Soundclash and many more. For those who love their dance music, the Dance Stage will be led by Unkle Sounds and Simian Mobile Disco (Live), plus sets from Sub Focus (Live), Devlin, Crystal Fighters, Mount Kimbie and DJ sets from Nero + Sbtrkt. The Horrors, The Midnight Beast and Peter Doherty are set to headline the Festival Republic Stage with support coming from Digitalism, Rival Schools, Tom Vek, Brother, Ed Sheeran, White Denim, And So I Watch You From Afar and The Twilight Singers. Other music highlights include performances from Thirty Seconds To Mars, Deftones, The Offspring, The National, Jimmy Eat World, Madness, Elbow, Interpol, Friendly Fires, Two Door Cinema Club, Enter Shikari, White Lies, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Metronomy, Patrick Wolf, Warpaint, Chapel Club, Cold Cave, Hot Water Music and The Joy Formidable. Plus many many more! The Alternative Stage continues to provide the best in alternative viewing for the weekend with performances from Tim Minchin, Lee Nelson, Russell Kane, Henry Rollins and Mark Thomas and a live performance from Sbtrkt.
