"I don't say he's a great man - but he's a human being, and a terrible thing is happening to him. So attention must be paid. He's not to be allowed to fall in his grave like an old dog. Attention, attention must finally be paid to such a person."

Following her recent award-winning successes on Company and Angels in America, Marianne Elliott co-directs Death of a Salesman with Miranda Cromwell, who worked as Associate Director on both shows. Together, they bring a unique vision to one of the greatest plays of the twentieth century, seen through the eyes of an African-American family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toucing performance! I persuaded my 16 year old daughter to come to this production as I had an idea that the play would be one of her A level set texts. We both thoroughly enjoyed our matinee viewing to a packed theatre. Luckily the play is the first one she is studying this term and seeing it live has really helped her understanding. Highly recommend this RSC production.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic theatrical experience This was a treat which I enjoyed solo. I love the work of Arthur Miller and to see Anthony Sher in the role of Willy Loman was an extraordinary experience. We saw a little and loveable Willy who carried the flaws of all humanity and never has it been more clear to us that his fragility has damaged his son's possibilities for a rich and fulfilling life.Yet Biff is, very clearly, a chip off the old block. A tough and emotional experience for the audience.
