The Abbie Finn Trio are a North East England based jazz ensemble led by the energetic young female drummer. In the Trio she works with fellow Leeds College of Music Alumnus, saxophonist Harry Keeble, and bass player Paul Grainger.
Compositions take in everything from post-bop / hard bop jazz of the 1960s through afro-cuban and latin rhythms, through to the more contemporary end of the jazz spectrum. The band also perform arrangements of tunes by Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer through to Chick Corea and Don Grolnick.
Following the performance Abbie and her band will be running an open jam session providing a great opportunity for amateurs, semi and professional musicians to join the celebrated trio who regularly head up the ever popular ‘Tuesday Jam’, so don’t forget to bring your instruments!
