Singer-songwriter Carlene Carter, is the daughter of country music legends June Carter and Carl Smith, stepdaughter of Johnny Cash, and granddaughter of "Mother" Maybelle Carter of the original Carter Family.
After guesting on the 1974 Johnny Cash album 'The Junkie and the Juicehead Minus Me', Carlene Carter started her own career in 1978 with her eponymously titled debut album. After the follow up albums 'Two Sides to Every Woman', 'Musical Shapes', 'Blue Nun' and 'C'est C Bon' she became part of a reunion in 1987 of the Carter Family along with her mother and sisters.
In 1990, Carlene Carter released the Grammy nominated 'I Fell In Love' album, featuring the international hit single "Every Little Thing.". The follow up albums 'Little Acts of Treason' and 'Little Love Letters' were also succesful. Recently, Carlene featured heavily on the 2017 John Mellencamp album 'Sad Clowns and Hillbillies'.
