An Edinburgh Preview double header, in an intimate venue, with two exciting young comics bursting onto the comedy scene - Chris Washington & Tom Houghton.
Chris Washington - You Beauty! (Work In Progress)
In 2017 a Wigan postman used all his annual leave to bring a show to the world’s biggest arts festival and was nominated for Best Newcomer. A true ‘you beauty’ underdog story.
Edinburgh Best Newcomer Nominee, Chris Washington brings his brand new work-in-progress show about the best year of his life! Including receiving the prestigious 10 years service tie pin from Royal Mail and the series of 'You Beauty!' moments that followed. A feel good underdog story about a Wigan postman who used all his annual leave to take a show to the world's biggest arts festival and got 5 numbers and the bonus ball on the comedy lottery.
Chris has supported Jason Manford on tour and as seen on 'Live from the BBC.' He was Breakthrough Comedian of the Year Winner and a finalist in the Magners New Comedy Act in 2015. Without a doubt Chris has proved he’s a definite one to watch, being likened to a “Peter Kay for the smart phone generation”. His performance in Barnard Castle earlier this year was a massive success.
