CrazyBird Comedy Night
Mountsorrel Memorial Centre, Loughborough.
This event is for over 18s only - No refunds will be issued for under 18s.
Following on from the success of their previous events in Gloucestershire, Stafford, Ross on Wye & Devon, The CrazyBird Comedy Club is putting on a night of Stand Up comedy at the Mountsorrel Memorial Centre on Thursday 31st May
Internationally acclaimed comedian Geoff Whiting “…a master of the ‘That’s so true’ type of humour. He ad-libbed brilliantly and hooked the audience”, (Evening Standard) is the CrazyBird Comedy Club’s resident MC and will be hosting the event.
The opening act is Liam Pickford "He's got funny bones and a scattergun mind that doesn't quite work like everyone else's." Chortle. Well, what can we say about Liam? If Stewart Lee, Jack Dee and Morrissey ever had a child together then Liam is who they would call son. Liam started performing stand up in Manchester in June 2012. His unique style is a breath of fresh air to the circuit with Liam has crafted his own unique brand of stand up, mixing cleverly honed material and punchlines with excitingly unpredictable audience interaction. All this, mixed in with a hint of ‘whimsy’ and clever observations whilst delivered in a wonderfully unenthusiastic and grumpy style. Liam has become a circuit favourite and is destined for big things.
Packing the middle section will be Tony Wright. Tony is a 19 year old Manchester based Comic. Performing his first stand up set at aged 15 in his home county of Kent over the following 3 years Tony has made a huge impression on the circuit, leading to a residency as warm up act for Ramsgate Music Hall’s Edinburgh preview season in June-July 2015 opening for a certain Lou Sanders.
Joining Tony in the middle section will be UK based Australian Stand Up Comedian and actor Thomas Green who has an interesting plot twist: he’s a supply teacher in the UK. Green is known for having a face of elasticity, a unique story-telling style and a highly energetic stage presence.
Headlining the night will be Mark Palmer who has a comedic voice and style described by the press as “clean, classy and clever“.
It doesn’t matter that Mark Palmer happens to work clean. He’s funny. And funny is the thing that matters when you’re watching a comedian. Mark’s ability to blend a theme or topic with one of today’s funniest comedy routines is unparalleled. His smart, sometimes loud and often opinionated brand of comedy has made him an audience favourite wherever he performs.
Sit tight Mountsorrel, this comedy night promises to give you a night you’ll be talking about for months.
The Doors & Bar open at 7pm show starts at 8pm
