CrazyBird Comedy Night
Ross Sports Centre, Ross On Wye.
This event is for over 18s only - No refunds will be issued for under 18s.
Following on from the success of their previous visits to Ross-on-Wye, The CrazyBird Comedy Club is returning to the Ross Sports Centre with another stunning line up of professional stand-up comedians from the international circuit on Friday 14th September.
It is a pleasure to welcome back MC for the evening, fans favourite, the inimitable Geoff Whiting. Geoff will draw on his 20 years’ experience in the industry to ensure the night gets off to a flyer and will ensure that both audience and acts alike are enjoying themselves.
Opening proceedings will be multi-award winning Welsh comedian Matt Rees “a properly original comedy mind” The Guardian. Matt has generated a huge buzz on the circuit over the past number of years with his unique brand of well-crafted gigs and acerbic delivery earning him high praise from audiences and critics alike.
Smashing through the middle section is Ross on Wye resident Anna Keirle "Daffy Cornish bumpkin Keirle has funny in her veins, with a disarming daftness and an endearingly babbling manner."- Chortle. As an act Anna is confident and comfortable on all types of bill at any sort of event, from festivals to theatre’s and appears regularly on the national comedy circuit. She is never offended by anyone saying- 'Blimey, aren't you funny for a girl' or 'Are you really from Cornwall?!'
Joining Anna will be Graeme Collard. "Graeme Collard is very, very, VERY Funny" Joe Wilkinson. Graeme has been performing Stand-up since 2011, mainly on the Brighton and London circuits. Graeme discusses his unique reasons for being a vegetarian as well as making observations on every day scenarios and confusion in a friendly laid back kind of manner.
Headlining the night will be the supremely talented Pierre Hollins whose only other ‘proper jobs’ he’s ever had were washing dishes in the House of Commons, labouring on a gas pipe line in Qatar, in the Middle East, and teaching drama to the mentally ill. So it’s fair to say he’s got material!!
He has been an audience favourite on the comedy circuit for many years, and has headlined at clubs throughout the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.In the early days he worked as a support act to Lenny Henry and Rory Bremner; appeared in the West End with Rita Rudner; and toured with The Flying Pickets, and Willie Rushton & Barry Cryer.
He has completely re-invented his act several times (from the early days of acrobatic spectacle and frivolous audience abuse - where he was described as ‘far fetched and semi dangerous’ Time Out). In a more recent incarnation he was found weilding an electric squash racket - ‘must be seen to be believed’ Chortle; ‘comedy rock and roll heaven’ Hot Tickets.
