More information about Gary Fletcher Band and Friends tickets

A founder and ever present member of The Blues Band with Paul Jones, Tom McGuinness and Dave Kelly, Gary’s music straddles blues, Americana and folk.

He plays and sings a compelling mix of originals and classic covers using guitar, slide, banjo, mandolin and ukulele and for one night only the band’s lineup

includes legendary master drummer Dave Mattacks.

Arguably one of the world’s very finest drummers, Boston USA resident DM doesn’t often play in the UK nowadays but having been introduced to Gary’s music by Feast of Fiddles colleague Tom Leary, he suggested playing a show with the GFB and the venue is the wonderful Southern Pavilion in Worthing.

Apart from his lengthy tenure with folk rock giants Fairport Convention his tour and recording credits include Paul McCartney, Elton John, Nick Drake, Jimmy Page, Rosanne Cash; Mary Chapin Carpenter; Richard Thompson; Steeleye Span; Everything but the Girl; Jethro Tull; Andy Fairweather-Low; Chris Rea; Georgie Fame; Nick Hayward; Micky Jupp; Ashley Hutchings; Ralph McTell; The McGarrigals, Susan Tedeschi, Joan Armatrading etc etc.

In addition the band will also showcase some truly exceptional players including Alan Glen (Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero, Daniel Smith Band etc) on harmonica, Tom Leary (Lindisfarne, Feast of Fiddles, Little Johnny England etc) on violin, Sam Kelly (Tom Robinson, Dave Kelly Band, Circulus etc) on percussion, Andy Billups (The Hamsters) on bass and Nick Ritchie (Mud, Canto etc) on lead guitar.
